Homemade Therapy Putty
It’s called a lot of things, goo, goop, silly putty, therapy putty. But no matter what you call it, it’s super easy to make and lots of fun to play with. Purchasing therapy putty can be expensive, but, with a little time and effort, you can make it at home.
Here’s how you make it:
You’ll need three ingredients: Liquid Starch, Glue, and Food Coloring. Simple right?
Add two cups of white glue. Sicking out your tongue while pouring in the glue is optional.
Measure out 2 cups of glue and pour into a bowl.
Add a few drops of food coloring and mix into the glue.
Measure out one cup of liquid starch.
Pour the liquid starch into the glue mixture.
Now for the fun part. Roll up your sleeves and get gooey! Kneed the mixture with your hands. Add more starch for a more dense mixture.
When your putty is finished play some games with it. Hide plastic objects in it (or coins) and ask your child find all the objects. Not only is the putty fun to play with but it also helps with fine motor skills as well. Enjoy!
