September 21, Last Day in the Mall
DIY Studio will be closing shop in the mall with our last day scheduled for September 21. If you haven’t visited us yet, stop in and say hi.
We’ll have another Funky Junky Upcycled Jewelry class (this time focusing on earrings),
our steal of a deal with our fill a bag event and it’ll be the last time you can stock up on local, upcycled artwork from 27 different artists. In no time at all the holiday season will be here so it’s always nice to get shopping done a little early (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
While we are still deciding on the details of a new space and direction (check back Saturday morning for an update), we want to take this time to thank you for all of your support this past year. We have sailed the seas of creative reuse with you aboard. We’ve navigated through swift currents and storms as well as tranquil waters and open sky. Thank you for coming along for this journey. I look forward to our new adventure scavenging for reclaimed materials and discovering artistry and inspiration in Salem. We have much to offer and so much more to give. Till we meet again!
I am so proud of you for all that you do, and all that you’ve done. Just keep moving forward, it will all work itself out in time. xoxox!!!!!
Thanks Janell. Moving right along. 🙂 Let’s get together soon!
It saddens me that you all are closing down even if it is just temporary. Maybe we could plan play days and field trips just to keep the re use art vibe going.
Melissa, no decision to close or stay open has been made yet. Oh yeah, we are ridding the fence to my chagrin. The board is voting tomorrow and I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop. Thanks!
