I Cannot Lie, I do Love Pie

Pie. It’s pretty basic when you think about it. Crust and fruit or crust and custard and maybe a bit of ice cream if you are really lucky. It’s such a lovely concoction that it tickles my fancy. So why not pair it with reading, discussion and crafts? À la craft if you please.

We are happy to announce that DIY Studio’s first book to discuss is Pie by Sarah Weeks. It is such a fun story of a little girl and her aunt who bakes pies to give away to her community. While reading this I was also notified of a local pie giver, Vickie Woods who has made it her mission to hand out a free pie to someone new each day for a year! Now that’s what I call a generous spirit!
