Vintage Carnival Flyer
My daughter is having her school carnival at the end of the month and I volunteered to design a little pocket program with a map as well as donor info for the auction. I came up with this design. Hopefully no one gets nightmares from the creepy clown. My hubby thinks it looks like the clown from Stephen King’s “It”. I never watched it or read the book so I actually like the vinatge charm of the clown. So tell me this…on a scale from 1-10, 10 being wet your pants scary, what would you rank this guy?

Well, I’ve got a problem with clowns, but I’d rank him a 7. He’s creepy. LOVE the design though. I might have to put my thumb over his face if I was holding it. 😉
Yes, creepy! I’ve got clown issues, too, and I’d rank this guy a 7.5. If he were in color, he’d probably be a 9. He does fit well with the vintage design… but I think you might make some elementary school kids (or adults) wet their pants!
Thanks ladies. I’ve asked my kids and they like it, however I would never hang this up in their rooms, or even my room for that matter. What I do like about the clown is that he interacts with the reader. I get a sense of what this flyer about instantly. I’ll keep looking for a suitable substitute. We’ll see. 🙂
I’m going to go with a 5. He’s old school. I have to respect that.
What caught my eye is the typepad address – did you set this up for the school?
You super groovy parent volunteer! How do you do it all?
Looks like Jack Nicholson.
