Superhero Party- mission complete
Goodness, where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday was Little Man’s birthday.
Here’s some pictures…
We first stared out by asking kiddos what it means to be a super hero. The kids brainstormed super hero abilities as well as names and disguises. Then we decorated super hero capes, masks, and wristbands.
Even some of the adults got creative! Then we focused on our superhero abilities. We learned how to fly. We learned how to throw.
We learned how to jump and go through the relay course.
And we took the Superhero Pledge.
“I, superhero name,
I have been called by mankind
to use my extraordinary
powers and abilities
to protect the innocent
and to offer
humanitarian service
without expectation of reward.
I pledge to protect all that is good,
respect my parents and siblings,
uphold all laws
and oppose all that is evil.”
The Superheros earned certificates.
Unfortunately, the Superheros did not learn how to web sling since, silly me, I forgot about that activity. I did plan to do it. What kid doesn’t like silly string from a can?
And after the rigerous training the kids were ready for their first super villian. Each child did an amazing job wacking at the Joker pinata, although next time I’ll not build it so strong!
Cake time!
And lots of love from the many friends, grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles.
It was an amazing day spent with those who we love the most!
