Snowball Fight

Growing up in Maine I had lots of fun in the snow. We’d even check out cross country skis from school for some weekend fun. Blizzards, sparkling trees, and awesome snow forts are a large part of my childhood memories.

I also have memories of getting my face washed with snow by my older brother. Cold and wet, I usually then hauled my patetic butt inside.

That’s what inspired this necklace. All those snowball fights, sledding, and playing. And I’m quite happy with the outcome. The action has been captured. The next second the kiddo’s face will be washed with the cold snowball. Perhaps he’ll also retreat for the safety of home, or maybe his brave soul will fight til the end or at least until Mom calls them both inside for some warm cocoa.
