I Spy Sketching Class

I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be teaching another class at the Art Department! It’s been almost a year since I taught there and this time it’s all about sketching. I wanted to keep the cost and time requirement reasonable along with a small supply list so almost anyone can attend.

I spy with my little eye something very rewarding! Want to feel confidant sketching in public or brush up on your sketching skills? Join this fun class and focus on line, texture, space, and value in an encouraging and supportive environment. We’ll explore these elements by first sketching an item from the store. Then we’ll break for lunch and head outside to pick other inspiring objects to practice our new skills. We will then share and celebrate our work. No previous sketching experience required. Please bring: a sack lunch and drink, a folding chair or blanket, and wear clothing suitable for the weather.
