Grand Opening

We are thrilled to announce our grand opening Saturday, June 8th from 10am to 6pm. The first 50 people will receive a limited edition DIY print. DIY Studio now occupies a 3,300 sq ft space next to Made in Oregon in the Salem Center Mall.

We have lots of classes and events planned and look forward to showcasing the benefits of reuse and hopefully inspire others to look at their trash differently. Since we’ve received our keys we’ve been busy painting, moving, scrubbing and getting the space ready to receive material donations. We still need help moving fixtures, building fixtures and would love to connect with more people who own trucks or vans and are willing to help us move things. Within the week we’ll need more hands to help sort materials and schlep goods from vehicle to store. If this is an area where you can help, please let us know!

Others ways to help would be to become a member. We are operating on a very small budget and things surely add up quickly. Becoming a member not only helps us to cover programing costs, but also benefits you by giving you special member’s only discounts and opportunities. Also we have exciting classes for father’s day, a parent kiddo artbot class, and other classes that are sure to inspire your creativity. And remember, all of our classes focus on reuse so you can feel good knowing what you are creating is eco-friendly. Classes range from free to affordable and members receive classes at a discount.
