Father’s Day French Toast

Breakfast in bed is always a nice treat for dad. To make it special try making some yummy  french toast made with Cinnamon Chip bread from Great Harvest Bread .

First off, find a cooking buddy. Little Missy helped me this morning.

Next cut up some slices of Cinnamon Chip bread. We cut up 6 slices and that was plenty for our family of four.

Add three eggs, some whole milk, a pinch of nutmeg and whisk.

Now put the bread into the wet mixture and coat on both sides.

Grill until browned on both sides.

Cook up some apple slices with some cinnamon, sugar, and butter to make a fruit compote to serve with the French Toast. It’s a nice little addition.

Garnish with some mint from the garden and a quick sift of powered sugar. Such a nice little surprise for dad. Serve with kisses.

She has grown. And she is loosing a tooth that just won’t come out. One root left and that thing wiggles everywhere. I call her “Mater” as in “Tomater,” from the movie Cars. Gosh, I hope I’m not giving her a complex. I really should start saving for her psychologist fund now.
