Cultural Craft Night- Cherry Blossoms

Creative Reuse Cherry Blossoms4/30, 6:30-7:30pm
Howard Street Charter School

We are gearing up for Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month in May and will make cherry blossoms from discarded plastic. We will kick off the night showing works of art that incorporate cherry blossoms, the importance of it in Asian cultures and discuss how Salem adopted it as its city motto. Then we’ll make our own cherry blossoms to take home and celebrate.

$3, pre-registration required

Cultural Craft Nights are sponsored by Marion Cultural Development Corp and are made possible through a partnership with Howard Street Charter School. At Cultural Craft Night, we’ll teach arts education, cultural connection, and environmental awareness through making art with reused materials.
