Tackle it Tuesday- Getting Ready for the Sale
Ah, it’s Spring Break! It’s nice to have some time to work on projects and spend time with the kiddos rather than hauling them to and fro.
This week I’m focusing on getting some upcyled projects done for the upcoming spring Honeybee Boutique Sale.
May 1-2 Sat. 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Sun. Noon – 4:00 pm. The sale is a little over a month away and here’s a sneak peek of some of the fun pieces you’ll see at the sale. I’ll be sure to send out some reminders in the beginning of April when I have pictures from the vendors.
I’m addicted to the fresh spring colors and I’m having lots of fun collaging with vintage books. My daughter was horrified in the beginning though. After scoring some amazing book deals at the library book sale and telling her that I was going to cut out some images from the books, she told me “books are our friends”. She is right of course, however when a book is tattered and unused, I think it’s magical to turn the pages into something that is once again useful. So unused suitcases and boxes are now pretty and clean. The insides have been gutted and freshly painted so they can be used for storage.
Spring is all about renewal, so why don’t you share a little upcycled story with us that you’ve finished?
