Hubby’s Happy Birthday

Hubby celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday. It was a low-key affair, celebrated with just our immediate family. Little Missy started his day off by waking him up with her entertaining rendition of “Happy Birthday” on her little piano book. For lunch we took him to Quiznos (his favorite sub shop). And for dinner we fixed a pork roast that was slow roasted in white wine. For dessert I made a chocolate cake with cream cheese and peanut butter frosting, topped with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Then we rushed off for a family movie.

It was a fun night and really made me appreciate the time spent with our kiddos and the family we have grown into. Hubby is such a great dad and husband…it’s really much more than I even dreamed of. The kids have grown so fast and the years are speeding by. It’s nice to have times like these to catch our breath and really enjoy time spent together.
