Simply Soldering Workshop

First time solderer makes this fabulous braceletIt was a drippy Sunday in Oregon but that didn’t put a damper on our spirits. A group of creative ladies came to the art studio to polish their soldering skills. Some have soldered before and for others it was their first time. We talked about supplies and techniques. We learned how to cut glass and where to shop. And most of all we had a blast getting to know each other. I was having so much fun that it wasn’t until almost everyone left that Jodi (pictured above) reminded me to take a photo. Goodness! How could it be that I forgot to take them during the workshop…shame on me!

She choose pictures of her family and even though she was a first time solderer, she whipped up these charms. AMAZING! The other newbie, Risa made a lovely soldered brooch with a vintage ribbon pin and lace encased in glass and solder. I was thrilled to see the work of these ladies!
