Salem Peace Festival

DIY Studio is thrilled to see you this Saturday for the sixth annual Salem Peace Festival on the grounds of Unity of Salem, 1777 Fabry Rd. S.E. Salem OR 97306, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. We have a handful of volunteers (many thanks) who will be leading the children’s craft booth making artist trading cards from reuse material, 10-1:30pm. Please stop by and say hi!


Free admission, family-friendly event

  • Five guest speakers including Eroius Johnson  Chair of the Legal Redress Committee for the Salem Keizer Branch of the NAACP  [3:30 p.m.] and Fariborz Pakseresht, Director of the Oregon Youth Authority [5:30 p.m.]
  • Five bands ranging from bluegrass to reggae
  • Children’s activities sponsored by DIY Studio
  • Community service organizations including Safe Families for Children, Battle Buddies, and the Humane Association
  • American Red Cross blood drive
  • Commercial vendors and food booths

The Salem Peace Festival is a non-political organization committed to promoting peace and non-violence, collaboration and cooperation, community service and unity through diversity.
