Shrinky Dinky Do

How do you fit 30 unique pieces of children's artwork into a piece of art that will incite a bidding war among parents? These unique mosaic bird houses are the solution. Each child started with a sheet of shrinky dink plastic. I instructed them to create an original colored pencil drawing and then shrunk it down in my oven. I then used upcycled glass, jewelry, knobs, tins and decorative elements to create beautiful mosaics that highlight each child's masterpiece. Not only are these birdhouses unique with character but are also functional. Shrinky dinks to the rescue!
