Disposable Free from Sea to Shining Sea 2019
It’s easy to get lost at large events, a little booth shouting into the crowds to get noticed. At the Salem Art Fair & Festival, I incorporated an already made paper mache puppet of Lady Liberty and gave her a platform to promote ditching disposables. I added a collection of single-use plastic items gushing from her mouth. I paired her with a colorful backdrop and created an oil painting to reflect the message Disposable Free from Sea to Shining Sea. The painting then became the design for a reusable tote bag and colorful handouts. The event was a success, and we had a record number of email sign-ups and connections with event-goers.
